It burst into flames in the crash.

A 47-year-old man and 44-year-old woman inside the truck at the time of the crash both died at the scene.

They were West Lakes Shore residents, SA Police advised.

Wreckage from the crash has since been cleared, but speed restrictions are still in place near the scene.

Police also fined a passing truck driver for using a mobile phone while driving, after he was seen filming the crash site from his moving vehicle.

The crash has brought the state’s road toll to 16, compared to 17 at the same time last year.
