Man allegedly shoots two others in suspected revenge attack

Luke Convery celebrated his 21st birthday just two weeks ago.

Now he's fighting for life and another man, James Myers, is badly injured, after a calculated attack.

It was just after 2am when a man crawled through a window into the Jesmond home armed with a rifle and knife.

Police say Mr Convery was asleep on the couch with his girlfriend, and a two-year-old girl was beside them, when he was shot twice in the head.

The gunman then moved to the bedroom, turned on the light and fired repeatedly at Mr Myers.

Police believe that the accused, Barry Pojbe, was angry Mr Myers was with his ex-partner Natasha Cameron.
