'Covered in blood': Tradies who rushed to alleged beach stabbing victim's aid speak
Two builders have spoken about the moment they rushed to the rescue of a young woman who was allegedly stabbed by a teenage stranger at a Queensland beach.
The 23-year-old woman was sunbaking at Blacks Beach in Mackay when a 16-year-old allegedly stabbed her multiple times in the neck and body at 12.20pm yesterday.
The woman ran to a nearby construction site for help and the alleged attacker fled.

Two men who went to her aid have spoken about the shocking moment.
"Looked down at the beach down here, and a young girl was covered in blood, screaming for help," Paul Ferdinand said.
Another builder, Gav Odgaard, said the woman had been in "a bit of a state".

"She just kept saying, 'help me, help me, I don't want to die'."
Both tradies denied their actions were heroic, saying it was just a matter of "humans helping humans".
The 23-year-old woman is now in a stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with committing acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
Police said the woman and the alleged attacker were not known to one another.
He was refused bail and will appear in court today.
