Machete, baseball bat used in robbery

Armed thieves have used a baseball bat and machete to threaten staff during a robbery in Brisbane.

At about 9.50pm (AEST) on Monday two men entered a hotel on Toohey Road in Salisbury and demanded staff members hand over money.

Police say the staff were threatened with a baseball bat and a machete as they were forced to hand over a sum of cash from the bar and gaming areas. No one was injured.

The men fled the scene with cash and alcohol, and were seen leaving in a stolen white Nissan Skyline.

Police believe the same men were seen at a hotel at East Brisbane at about 10.10pm.

The first man is described as being about 180cm tall with a dark complexion, and wearing beige pants, a light grey hooded jumper with a white bandanna covering his face and dark shoes.

The second man is described as being about 190cm tall with a dark complexion and a solid build. He was wearing a black Adidas tracksuit top with white stripes on the sleeves, a black balaclava and brown shoes.
