M1 speed reductions in place due to Gold Coast Commonwealth Games

Traffic conditions are changing with M1 speed reductions coming into effect in the lead up to and during the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.
From midnight, there will be major speed-limit changes from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
The speed limit will drop from 100km/h to 90km/h at Eight Mile Plains down to Logan and from 110km/h to 100km/h at Logan to Gaven.

The changes are to ease congestion in the lead up to and during the Commonwealth Games.
Queensland Police say there will be no grace period for driver with speed cameras already been changed to register the changes.
