‘I believe she was murdered’: Lyn Dawson’s sister calls for justice

The sister of a woman who went missing in 1982 has called for justice in an A Current Affair exclusive.

Mother of two Lyn Dawson loved her daughters, adored her family and idolised her husband, but in January 1982 she disappeared from her home on Sydney's northern beaches and hasn't been heard from since.

Lyn's sister Pat Jenkins said Lyn "deserves justice".

"I believe she was murdered, and by a known person," she said.

A Current Affair also tracked down Chris Dawson, who was not only Lyn's husband, but also the man found likely to have killed her by two separate coroners.

At the time of Lyn's disappearance, Chris who was a teacher was also in a secret sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student, the same student he moved into the family home just days after his wife vanished.

He has never been charged over his wife’s death and has always maintained his innocence.

The DPP has stated there is insufficient evidence to charge anyone, and the mystery of Lyn’s disappearance remains unsolved.
