L-plater allegedly returns one of the highest blood alcohol readings Victoria Police has seen
An unlicensed learner driver allegedly recorded one of the highest blood alcohol records ever seen by Victoria Police during a wild night of driver behaviour on Victorian roads.
The 23-year-old man was found driving with an alleged blood alcohol reading of .319 on Fitzgerald Road in Laverton North about 9.45pm on Wednesday.
Learner drivers must have a zero blood alcohol reading, but the Truganina man's alleged reading was more than six times the legal limit for a fully licenced driver.

Police have said his alleged reading is "one of the highest on record".
His vehicle was immediately impounded for 30 days and he is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and other traffic related offences.
He was also arrested over an outstanding warrant and later released on bail.
Another Melbourne driver was allegedly caught driving at five times the legal blood alcohol limit the same night on St Georges Road in Fitzroy North.
The 40-year-old Sunbury man returned an alleged reading of .257 after police responded to reports of him driving erratically.

His car was immediately impounded, his licence was suspended for 12 months, and he is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving and other traffic related offences.
On the same night, in regional Victoria, a woman allegedly hit a pedestrian in front of police and had to be chased by officers.
Police allegedly went to do a welfare check on the 56-year-old Churchill woman when she was parked in Commercial Road in Morwell just after 7.30pm.
A member of the public went to check on the woman at the same time, before she sped off, hitting the person.
The pedestrian was not injured.
Police chased the woman and arrested her nearby in Grant Street, impounding her car.
Also on Wednesday, in Melbourne's south-east, a 31-year-old Springvale man was caught driving more than 50km/h over the speed limit while on drugs in Dandenong South.
His black Subaru WRX travelling along the Westernport Highway was recorded doing 154km/h in a 100km/h zone at about 3.30am.
He returned a positive drug test before methylamphetamine was found in his car.
He went before a court and was sentenced to two months prison.
His car was also impounded, and his licence suspended for 12 months.
