A caravan has narrowly missed hitting a Melbourne home after coming loose from a car.
The 10 metre caravan travelled about 100m after it became unhitched, smashing through a fence and stopping just short of a family's home in Hampton Park this morning.

Police believe the caravan, which has four bedrooms and a shower block, may have been stolen and are trying to track down its owners.
