Police hunt alleged gunmen behind separate shootings in Queensland

Police are hunting down two alleged gunmen on the run after two separate shootings south of Brisbane.

The night of alleged shootings began when a group of people, one armed with a gun, stormed a property on Granger Road in Logan about 7.40pm yesterday, police said.

The group allegedly demanded several items from the man inside, 23-year-old Jake Nicoll, who refused.

Police alleged the gun was then shot and Nicoll suffered a wound to his neck.

The group allegedly fled the scene in a car with a small number of personal items.

Neighbours told 9News they heard a loud bang before Nicoll's loved ones at the home went door-to-door begging for someone to call an ambulance.

Nicoll was taken to hospital with the non-life-threatening injury.

Police alleged this was a robbery gone wrong.

About two hours later, shots were fired at the nearby Logan Reserve in what appeared to be a drive-by shooting.

The bullet pierced through the back passenger window of a Hyundai while five people were inside - three of those were teenagers.

"An unknown driver in a silver Mitsubishi Lancer has fired a shot into the window of the victims vehicle," detective senior sergeant Nicola Brown said.

"We are extremely grateful no one were injured."

Police said the two alleged shootings were shocking but do not believe they are linked.

A manhunt is now underway for at least two alleged gunmen.
