Livestock ship dragged from Australian waters after being banned for two years
A livestock ship is being hauled out of a Western Australian Harbour after being issued a two year ban from Australia.
The Barkly Pearl was initially spotted on the November 3 last year travelling through Australia's northern waters with a large hole in the hull.
It has spent has spent two months in Geraldton under Australian Martime Safety Authority (AMSA) orders, before being loaded onto the MV Falcon, a semi-submersible Heavy Load Carrier.

AMSA's General Manger Operations, Allan Schwartz, said the Barkly Pearl is now banned from entering or using an Australia port for 24 months.
"This is a significant decision by AMSA.
"It's the first time a vessel has been banned from Australian ports for this length of time and it will certainly affect the commercial operation of the vessel."
