Police hunt lone gunman after two men shot 'targeted' Western Sydney attack
Police are hunting a lone gunman after two men were hurt, one seriously, in a targeted shooting in Sydney's west overnight.
Police were called to a property on Alderson Avenue, Liverpool at 2.30am after reports of shots being fired.

When they arrived, they found several damaged windows but no victims.
About 3am, police were notified that two men, aged 26 and 33, had gone to Liverpool Hospital with gunshot wounds.
They were driven there by a neighbour, and a car has also been seized.
Police confirmed that both men are known to them.
A 26-year-old man was taken in for emergency surgery while a 33-year-old is under observation.

Acting Sup Int, Guy Haberley, said: "I'm considering a dark knight, a lone gunman. It's very concerning that someone would approach these two gentlemen and shoot them."
Neighbour Robert Ware said he heard about three gunshots, and went to his window to look outside. He said he then saw a car take off.
