UPDATE: 'Stolen' Peters ice-cream truck leads police on freeway chase

Police have arrested a man after chasing a "stolen" ice-cream truck along a major NSW motorway.
Peters ice-cream's General Manager for People and Performance Russell Kronenburg confirmed a truck, operated by one their distributors, was stolen this morning.
The chase is believed to have started outside of Newcastle, and ended in San Remo on the Central Coast, where the driver reportedly abandoned the truck.

Tuggerah Lakes police said a man has been arrested.
Radio station 2GB reported the truck chase began at Swansea, and the driver travelled through road spikes, later driving without rubber on the tyres.
