A retired army general will take on a disability campaigner for a shot at a Senate seat in NSW.
Jim Molan, who oversaw military operations in Iraq in 2004 and 2005, and Moree-based autism support advocate Hollie Hughes will contest a Liberal preselection ballot for the Senate in Sydney on March 19.
They will take on International Development Minister Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, who is the only sitting NSW Liberal senator up for re-election this year.
