Hunger Games heartthrob Liam Hemsworth has reportedly bought a new luxury ranch-style pad in California.
The Australian actor shelled out $US6.8 million ($A7.36 million) for a 7.5-acre estate in Malibu, according to Variety.
The place, which is kept private by a long driveway which crosses creeks, reportedly belonged to Break My Stride singer Matthew Wilder, who first listed the property in late 2013.
With three bedrooms and three bathrooms, the residence boasts roomy interiors with high wood-beamed ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Hemsworth will also have at his disposal a swimming pool, a concrete barn, a professional recording studio and a detached writing studio.
The 24-year-old's purchase comes almost a year after Hemsworth broke up with his pop star fiancee Miley Cyrus and moved out of the couple's home in Toluca Lake.
This move will bring him closer to his older brother, Thor star Chris Hemsworth, who picked up actor Paul Hogan's Malibu property last year for $US4.8 million ($A5.19 million).
