Ley to seek WADA briefing in Rio

Sport minister Sussan Ley will seek updates from the World Anti-Doping Agency this week in preparation for Australia hosting the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

"These issues are all important for Australia as we look ahead to hosting a safe, clean and successful 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast," Ms Ley said as she departed for Rio on Tuesday.

She'll also be chairing a meeting of commonwealth sports ministers as part of her four-day visit before she attends the Olympic opening ceremony.
