L-plater fined for speeding just hours after getting licence in Victoria

A Victorian teenager has copped a swift lesson in the rules of the road just hours after being issued his L plates.
The 17-year-old was behind the wheel of a Hyundai Getz on the Healesville-Koo Wee Rup Road in Woori Yallock, outside Melbourne, when he was stopped by police at about 1.30pm yesterday.
He was allegedly travelling at 83km/hr in a 60km/hr zone.

He was issued a $363 fine and lost three demerit points.
