'Chill' snake caught after hiding under kiddie pool in NSW yard
Red-bellied black snakes might look fearsome, but this one just wanted a place to "chill".
Glen from Illawarra Snake Catcher received a call out to a home in Shell Cove, Shellharbour, south of Wollongong in New South Wales.
On arrival, the snake had disappeared from view.

But as Glen carefully lifted an overturned kiddie pool, the snake was coiled underneath.
"He's just going to chill, this one," Glen said on the video of the capture, posted on Illawarra Snake Catcher's Facebook page.
The snake didn't move until after Glen had managed to hook and lift it.

"That was an easier one," he said.
It did try to make a belated escape, but Glen was able to direct it into his bag.
The arrival of warmer weather is likely to correspond with an increase in snake sightings.
People who spot a snake in or around their home are advised to leave it in peace and contact a snake catcher.
