A luxury car has been impounded under Western Australia's hoon laws after its 27-year-old male driver was clocked travelling at twice the speed limit on Perth's Mitchell Freeway.
Police said they stopped the black Lamborghini Gallardo just after midnight (WST) because it was allegedly travelling at 140km/h in a 70km/h zone along the on-ramp to the freeway, south bound in Kingsley.
The driver, from Helena Valley, was also driving with a suspended driver's licence, and faces charges of no authority to drive and reckless driving.
