The federal opposition will attempt to stop states from cutting their school funding budgets.
Labor is set to introduce an amendment into parliament that seeks to keep states from cutting their education budgets as a condition of Commonwealth school funding deals.
The changes to Australian Education Amendment (School Funding Guarantee) Bill are expected to be moved on Thursday.
