Labor should consider new leader: Lambie

Outspoken independent senator Jacqui Lambie says federal Labor should consider replacing Bill Shorten as leader after "rolling over" on the China free trade agreement and changes to family payments.

She accused the opposition leader of letting down the unions and supporting the revamped family tax benefits package, even though Labor was still considering its position.

"I think it's about time Labor had a good look at who their leader is and maybe take it back to a vote," she told reporters in Canberra on Thursday.
