Labor pledges disability funding

Labor has promised to give $2 million a year to peak disability advocacy groups, some of which had their funding cut under the Abbott government.

To coincide with International Day of People with Disability on Thursday, the opposition says it will give extra funds to groups such as Australian Federation of Disability Organisations, Blind Citizens Australia and Deafness Australia.

The organisations would have a share in the $2 million pool if Labor is elected to government.
