Labor leader Bill Shorten says his party's plan to fund the national disability insurance scheme will raise $50 billion over the medium term.
Mr Shorten's plan incorporates keeping the deficit levy in place and only applying the 2.5 per cent Medicare levy to those earning more than $87,000 a year.
He told reporters in Canberra on Friday the plan would raise $7.8 billion over four years and $50 billion over a decade.
