Labor MPs have hit back at suspended Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi after she claimed they were conspiring to remove her from council.

Ms Scaffidi said the Labor party has been plotting against her for up to four years, following renewed calls for her resign.

It comes as two of Ms Scaffidi's council allies - Judy McEvoy and Keith Yong - were voted off council during last weekend's Local Government Elections.

Labor Ministers David Templeman and John Carey said it's no conspiracy, and the election results send a clear message.

"The rate payers have spoken and they've said they want change, the old regime has to go," Mr Carey said.

"If Lisa had any dignity left she would resign now."

Mr Templeman told 9NEWS it was about finding "good governance" for the City of Perth.

"For goodness sake conspiracy theories are not going to get the City of Perth back on track," he said.
