LeBeouf walks out on media after one question

Shia LeBeouf walked out of a press conference for his new movie after uttering only a single cryptic, and copied phrase, and later arrived at the premiere wearing a paper bag over his head in a new series of bizarre antics for the US actor.

LeBeouf left his cast mates hanging when he exited the Berlin press conference for Nymphomaniac Volume 1 after answering just one question.

When asked about the sex scenes in the movie, LeBeouf replied: "When the seagulls follow the trawler it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea".

His answer was a quote from French footballer Eric Cantona, who was mocked by British press for his words in 1995.

LeBeouf not only copied Cantona's words but also a pause in the middle of the statement, during which both men drank a glass of water.

LeBeouf then thanked the crowd and walked off the stage while his co-stars, Uma Thurman, Christian Slater, Stellan Skarsgard and Stacy Martin gave him a round of applause.

Less than an hour later, the 27-year-old actor walked the red carpet at the film's premiere sporting a paper bag over his head.

Written on it were the words "I am not famous anymore".

It is the same line he has repeated on Twitter since January 13.

LeBeouf has recently faced plagiarism claims involving the work of graphic novelist Daniel Clowes – for which it was also claimed he copied part of his apology, and he was caught on video head-butting a man during a London bar fight in January.
