Kombi van fire causes long delays on West Gate Freeway

A Kombi van fire caused long delays on the West Gate Freeway at Spotswood this morning.

The fire forced the closure of two inbound right lanes at Williamstown Road about 6.45am, VicRoads advised.

Drivers were told to turn their car headlights on due to smoke, as firefighters responded to the blaze.

All lanes were cleared and reopened just before 9am.
