Thief who went viral for unusual name jailed for eight years
A woman who ransacked homes stealing thousands in jewellery and cash before going viral for her unique name has been jailed.
Khe Sanh Cox's crime spree began around Christmas in 2019 and didn't come to an end until more than a year later when police dogs sniffed her out in January 2021.
When South Australian police posted her mugshot online, the hunt for her gained national attention given she shares a name with the classic Cold Chisel song.

During her spree, Cox robbed houses, stole jewellery, money, cars and left her victims terrified.
She even stole irreplaceable items, including photos and videos of a mother's last messages to her daughter before she died.
The now 31-year-old was eventually caught when she was filling up a stolen car with petrol.
In sentencing today Judge Joanne Tracey labelled Cox's offending as "heartbreaking".

Cox wrote letters to each of her 24 victims, in some cases seeking forgiveness for her crimes.
The court also heard Cox's father was a career criminal who would take her on his own crime sprees and in some cases used her as a decoy.
She has admitted to more than 70 charges and was jailed for eight years.
Cox will be eligible to apply for release in 2027 and will be banned for driving for at least another decade after that.
