Toddler bitten by dingo on K'gari amid spate of incidents over long weekend
A toddler was bitten on the leg by a dingo on K'gari, an island off Queensland's south-east coast, yesterday in the latest of a spate of incidents over the past two weeks.
Authorities said the dingo bit the two-year-old on the leg in the carpark at Lake McKenzie, causing a "superficial injury".
Rangers gave the girl first aid.

A woman was bitten on on the leg on Saturday, also at Lake McKenzie, after attempting to stop a dingo taking her bag.
Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) reports a four-year-old girl was also bitten on Saturday, on the shoulder, while she was playing in the water.
A three-year-old girl was also reportedly bitten on the back of the leg by a dingo on the island last Saturday.

Dingo experts say the number one problem causing dingoes to behave badly is human interaction. A Current Affair
Senior Ranger Dr Linda Behrendorff said it was important for visitors to K'gari to carry a dingo stick and keep children close.
"Some dingoes will target children because they are seen as the weaker links of the pack," Dr Behrendorff said.
"This is why it is so important to keep children within arm's reach."
Rangers have increased their patrols during the long weekend period.
QPWS is investigating all incidents.
