KFC Australia under fire for 'not safe for work' tweet

An ad campaign from KFC Australia backfired today, after the company posted a tweet that attracted a lot of attention for all the wrong reasons.
The fast food chain posted an image of a man and woman sitting on a couch, with a blur over the man’s lap.
It was accompanied by the heading: 'WARNING: #NSFW . Something hot and spicy is coming soon…'
'NSFW' is an acronym for 'Not Safe For Work'.
More than 1000 people re-tweeted the post in less than an hour.
According to News.com.au, some accused KFC of sexism over the ad.
Others speculated whether the tweet was a deliberate publicity stunt.
In a statement to 9news.com.au, KFC said "this was a genuine tweet to launch KFC’s new Hot & Spicy chicken products next week. It was not intended to offend and we’ve removed the image".
