Greg McCann on losing wife Kerry: ‘I still think about it every day’

On March 19 2006 Greg McCann watched from the stands as his wife Kerryn, 38 and oldest son Benton, 9 ran a lap of honour at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Kerryn, 38 had just defended her crown in a thrilling finish to the women’s marathon at the Melbourne Commonwealth games.

In a tragic twist, she was diagnosed with breast cancer just 12 months later after discovering a lump while pregnant with her third child.

Youngest son Cooper was born in September 2007, but his Mother passed away on December 7, 2008.

In the first episode of the Rundown, Greg McCann reveals he still thinks about it every day, and we learn of his new life in Hawaii.

And we also meet Benton, who pays tribute to his Mum, and his memories of that amazing day.
