Sydney tradie found guilty of cutting house keys for assassins to execute underworld figure
A tradie has been found guilty of cutting a key so that four masked gunmen could carry out the execution of underworld figure Kemel Barakat at his Mortlake unit in Sydney.
Today a judge found Ahmed Jaghbir, 31, guilty of being an accessory before the fact to Kemel Barakat's murder in March 2017, but has allowed his bail to continue until his sentence hearing next month.
Justice David Davies found beyond reasonable doubt that Jaghbir - who is a close associate of Salim Mehajer - was hired to replace Kemel Barakat's locks and cut a copy of his keys.

He then gave the copied key to four assassins who later let themselves into the unit and executed Barakat.
Outside of court, Kemel Barakat's father said he was relieved.

The judge found there were three possible motives, one of them being that Jaghbir had acted in revenge because Kemel Barakat - also known as Blackie - was the suspect in the murder of Hammad Assad, a close friend of Jaghbir.
Jaghbir will face a sentencing hearing at the Supreme Court in November.
