Taylor Swift treats herself to some retail therapy at Southport boutique

Taylor Swift has shopped up a storm on the Gold Coast following a week of online feuding.

Yesterday the Shake It Off singer emerged from her Broadbeach penthouse for some retail therapy.

Footage shows Swift accessing the back door of a local boutique to avoid a barrage of snapping paparazzi.

Swift, 26, has been criticised on social media after her ex-partner, musician Calvin Harris, tweeted a deluge of shaming comments about the star.

Fellow popstar and long-time Swift nemesis Katy Perry chimed in to the conversation with a simple tweet. 

Earlier today, TODAY Show co-host Karl Stefanovic came to the defence of the superstar.

“She’s better than the rest because she works harder, longer, and smarter,” Stefanovic said this morning.

“She writes hit after hit because she connects with people.”

“What is it with miserable Scots at the moment?” Stefanovic asked in response to Harris’ vengeful outburst.

Stefanovic then urged the Scottish DJ, and a list of notable Isle-dwellers, including Andy Murray, to channel their inner-Braveheart.

“Find your William Wallace, paint your face blue and party!”

Swift is on the Gold Coast with boyfriend Tom Hiddleston while he films the latest Thor instalment.

Earlier this week, Swift treated fans at Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital to a surprise visit which lasted more than four hours.
