Kim Kardashian lost 'millions' in armed robbery in Paris, police say

US reality television star Kim Kardashian was robbed of several million euros, mostly in jewellery, during an armed hold-up in Paris,  police say.

"The loss amounts to several million euros, mostly jewellery. The total amount is still being evaluated," Paris police said in a statement, adding an investigation has been launched.

Kardashian is understood to have left France on Monday afternoon.

Police sources said the US reality television star flew out of Le Bourget airport on the outskirts of Paris after being questioned by police over the robbery.

Kardashian's spokeswoman, Ina Treciokas, earlier said the star was "badly shaken" after the robbery but was not injured. 

"Kim Kardashian West was held up at gunpoint inside her Paris hotel room this evening, by two armed masked men dressed as police officers. She is badly shaken but physically unharmed," Ms Treciokas said.

Later reports have suggested as many as five armed robbers were involved the in the theft.

Kardashian is currently in France for Paris Fashion Week with her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Kendall Jenner and Kourtney Kardashian.

The 35-year-old's husband, rapper Kanye West, abruptly ended a concert in New York mid-performance due to a "family emergency" when he learned of the incident.

Video posted on Twitter showed fans at the Meadows music and arts festival singing along to "Heartless" before West said, "I’m sorry, I’m sorry, stop it".

The music abruptly cut out before West added, "it’s a family emergency, I have to stop the show".

Concertgoers were left stunned as West exited the stage and ended his set.

West had been performing a sold-out show at Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, New York.

West had flown to Paris to appear with his wife and her sister Kourtney Kardashian on Thursday during a one-day break in his North American tour.

Kardashian, one of the most identifiable US celebrities, was last week approached by Vitalii Sediuk, a famous accoster of the stars, who was caught on video attempting to kiss her behind.
