Kanye West booed at music festival

Self-pontificated "music genius", Kanye West, has been booed at a London music festival after going on a 20-minute rant about the fashion industry.

In mobile phone footage taken from the crowd at the Wireless festival the bejewelled masked rapper can be heard waxing lyrical about brands such as Nike and Gucci before adding: "Don't discriminate against me cos I'm a black man making music."

But instead of being put off by the wave of 'boos' coming from the audience, West continued, ending his rant by saying: "This is what I'm talking about…. They say, 'I don't know what's wrong with Kanye' and make it sound like I'm a bad person in some way. What have I ever done that was so wrong other than believe in myself?"

His rant did little to rally troops with many members of the audience taking to social to claim they were "unimpressed".

West is due to perform at the festival again later today.
