Julia Morris plays off awkward nomination mix-up in style

TV personality Julia Morris has managed to turn an awkward situation into a funny one after messing up the order of a Logies award she was presenting.

Demonstrating the perils of live television, Morris failed to announce the nominees for the most outstanding entertainment program award.

Instead, she skipped directly to the winner - The Voice.

Show host Ricky Martin made a gracious acceptance speech before referring back to Morris, who realised her mistake.

"Did I forget to talk about the nominees?" she asked the star-studded crowd.

"It's live, don't tell anyone, we can cut it out later!" 

She then proceeded to name the rest of the nominees.

The presenters of The Checkout feigned hopeful looks as the camera panned to them, but it was already in the bag for The Voice.
