Joyce talks free trade with EU, Britain

As Australia looks towards a Trans-Pacific Partnership without the US, Barnaby Joyce is using a world stage to spruik a proposed free trade deal with the European Union.

The agriculture minister sat down with the EU agriculture commissioner and Britain's secretary of state for food and rural affairs on the sidelines of G20 meetings in Berlin.

"Australia envisages great potential to develop a free trade agreement with the EU and also new co-operation opportunities with the United Kingdom following its Brexit decision," Mr Joyce said on Tuesday.
