Joyce seizes on NZ milk situation
AAP
As the competition watchdog gears up to investigate Australia's dairy crisis Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce has pointed out that New Zealand doesn't have $1 a litre milk marketing ploys despite having the same retailers.
Mr Joyce acknowledged cheap milk had hurt dairy farmers for many years but now the situation was more pronounced because there was a depression in export prices.
"Dairy farmers are paying for the supermarkets' advertising," he told ABC radio on Friday.
