Jodhi Meares charged with drink-driving

Former model Jodhi Meares was allegedly three times the drink-driving limit when she crashed a 4WD into three parked cars on a Sydney street last night — and her licence was suspended at the time.

Meares may now face up to 18 months in jail for high-range drink-driving alone, The Australian reports.

Witnesses reportedly had to rescue James Packer's ex-wife from her rolled 4WD shortly after the crash, around 9.30pm in the prestige neighbourhood of Bellevue Hill, although she escaped without injury.

The 43-year-old, who returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.181, was arrested at the scene and charged with high-range drink driving and driving while suspended.

She will appear before Waverley Local Court in August.

Two of the parked cars Meares allegedly hit were left with significant damage and had to be towed from the scene.
