Publishers have announced the release of not one but three new Harry Potter books, penned by series author J.K. Rowling, next month.

The books, set to be released online on September 6 and retailing for US$3 (A$3.93) each, will be short story collections aimed at “supplementing” existing literature.

“Pottermore Presents is intended to supplement the Harry Potter book series with short-form content that is entertaining and thematically curated by the Pottermore editorial team,” CEO of Pottermore Susan Jurevics said in a statement to TIME.

The three books Power, Politics And Pesky Poltergeists, Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies and Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide will run about 10,000 words each.

Pottermore, an interactive website for fans, will be one of the many sales platforms where readers can purchase the books, available for pre-order as of today.

The announcement comes just weeks following the release of the eighth book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – Parts One and Two, on July 31.
