Jetstar flight en route to Uluru diverts to Mildura after 'cargo issue'

A Jetstar flight on its way to Uluru has been forced to divert to Victoria after an issue in the cargo hold.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed paramedics assessed "a number of people" on flight JQ660 from Sydney to Uluru at 11.55am, which landed in Mildura.

Jetstar confirmed in a statement to 9News the flight was diverted as a precaution after an indicator light in the cockpit showed there was an issue.

"The aircraft landed normally," the statement read.

"We thank customers for their patience as our teams work to get them on their way as quickly as possible."

The CFA declared the aircraft incident under control at about 12.30pm.  

No passengers were injured or taken to hospital.
