James Packer 'begs' ex-wife to take him back after hospital admission

Billionaire businessman James Packer is reportedly desperate to reunite with his former wife, Erica Baxter.

Packer, 50, resigned from his role as Crown Resorts director on Wednesday to deal with mental health issues.

He is now begging his second wife Ms Baxter, a singer and model, to take him back, according to The Daily Telegraph.

The pair married in a lavish ceremony on the French Riviera in 2007, and separated five years later.

They have three children, which are reportedly the reason for Ms Baxter “not wanting” to rekindle her relationship with Packer.

“Turning back the clock five years might be what James wants but it won’t help Erica,” a family friend told the newspaper.

“She has finally got her life together and has created a stable life in Los Angeles for her kids.”

Packer is now believed to be checked in to one of America’s most exclusive psychiatric hospitals, McLean Hospital in Belmont, California.

His 80-year-old mother, Roslyn, jetted out of Sydney Airport to be with her son on Thursday.
