Carpool Karaoke comedian James Corden has turned his music-loving attention to Beyoncé Knowles in a hilarious parody of her surprise album Lemonade.

In black satin lingerie, the host seductively makes the title drink during the three-and-a-half minute "visual monologue" used to start the Late Late Show overnight.

"Two pints of water, eight juicy-ass lemons, one cup of sugar, another cup of sugar ... You know what? Another cup of sugar," the UK comedian says in an attempt at a sultry tone to mimic Knowles' voice-over in the film of her new album.

"Actually, this is too much work. Can someone just go out and grab me a lemonade?"

Corden also recreates a bath scene and dons dreadlocks imitating the Lemonade album cover.

He tells the audience "every good monologue" wouldn't be complete "without a joke where a new study finds something".

"A new study found that 60 percent of women in Los Angeles are single," he says.

"Another study found that 60 percent of men in Los Angeles would wish that all the single ladies, all the single ladies, all the single ladies would put their hands up."
