Ipswich father strangled in own home

An Ipswich father is fighting for life after being tied up and strangled in his own home.

The 51-year-old was rushed to Ipswich Hospital after two police found him unconscious and not breathing in his lounge room.

For a frantic fifteen minutes, the officers performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

It’s believed the victim, a local traffic controller, was tied up and strangled.

He suffered severe head and neck injuries.

His 50-year-old housemate has been charged with attempted murder and torture.
