Intruders bash elderly man 'with iron bar' inside his Sydney unit

An elderly man is recovering in hospital after a violent home invasion in Sydney’s inner-west.
Two men forced their way into the 73-year-old’s unit on Catherine Street in Glebe at 4am today and hit him with an iron bar, 2GB reports.
The men ransacked the home before fleeing the scene.

It is unknown if any property was stolen.
The man suffered a wound to the back of his head and is in a stable condition at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Police investigations are continuing.
