Instant karma for Gold Coast driver

A Gold Coast ute driver has copped instant karma after making a dangerous U-turn right in front of an undercover police car.

Incredible dashcam footage, filmed by another motorist, shows the driver recklessly making the illegal turn at a set of traffic lights causing the black unmarked police car to almost run into the back of the ute.

Gasps can be heard on the video as those filming the footage anticipate a crash.

But an accident is avoided and the police officer immediately switches on his lights and siren.

The video, which was filmed two days ago and posted online yesterday, is now going viral and has already attracted more than half a million views.
