Innovation boss calls for collaboration

Innovation and Science Australia boss Bill Ferris will warn the nation must translate research into commercial outcomes or Australians won't be given the best possible quality of life.

In a speech to the Westmead Research Hub Mr Ferris says Australia needs better collaboration between business and publicly-funded research.

"Better translation of research into commercial outcomes underpins economic growth and global competitiveness," he said on Wednesday.
