Commuters targeted with blades fixed to train station benches

Police uncovered a dangerous prank targeting innocent Adelaide commuters after a train station seat was spiked with razor sharp blades.

Eight blades were discovered fixed to a bench at the Blackwood Train Station on August 13, leaving locals outraged.

Investigators are now hunting for two young males suspected of the crime.

CCTV of the pair, who police believe could be teenagers, has been released in a bid to track down the pair.

Police said no one was injured and the trap was quickly removed.

The blades appear to have come from a hobby knife set, which is generally used for arts and crafts.

"It's just scary to think that they could be anywhere," local Aaron Ackland told 9NEWS.

"And they could be doing something similar elsewhere," he said.

Police are following up on multiple leads but are yet to make any arrests.
