The top 10 Aussie industries that saw the biggest pay rises in 2023
New data from jobs advertiser Seek has revealed the industries in Australia that have had the largest pay increases in the past 12 months.
Analysing data on advertised jobs, Seek found that on average, wages rose 4.5 per cent from January 2023 to January 2024.
Here are the industries that did the best.
10. Engineering
Pay for engineering jobs increased 4.6 per cent in the 12 months to 2024.
9. Accounting
Advertised wages in accounting lifted 4.8 per cent.
6. Insurance and superannuation
Insurance and super jobs saw pay rise 5.2 per cent.
5. Advertising, arts, and media
Wages in advertising, arts, and media lifted 5.3 per cent.
4. Sport and recreation
Advertised pay packets in sport and recreation jobs lifted 5.9 per cent.
3. Consultation and strategy
Consultation and strategy jobs paid 6.1 per cent more over the 12 months.
1. Community services and development
And at the top were jobs in community services and development, which saw pay packets lift 8.9 per cent.
