IKEA store evacuated after flooding

Shoppers have been forced to “wade” through the aisles of an IKEA store in Queensland after the sprinklers went off.

Video obtained by 9NEWS shows the floors of the Logan store covered in murky water about midday today.

It’s understood a sprinkler went off in store, prompting hundreds of Sunday shoppers to flee.

Staff worked for more than three hours to clean up the soggy mess, with customers allowed back in the store about 3pm.

It is not known how much damage the flooding may have caused to the store and products.
