ICAC inspector may probe probes

The Inspector of the NSW corruption watchdog is reportedly considering launching an inquiry into probes that led to the resignations of former premier Barry O'Farrell, federal Cabinet Secretary Arthur Sinodinos and 10 NSW MPs.

David Levine has told The Australian newspaper he had sought confidential material from the Independent Commission Against Corruption to ascertain whether to launch an inquiry into its high-profile Australian Water Holdings and property developer donations probes.

"It's a very big and important matter and I might well do so," he said.

His comments follow a report by The Australian that the ICAC had informed Senator Sinodinos that no corruption findings had been nade against him.
