I can't remember refugee cost: Plibersek
AAP
Deputy Labor leader Tanya Plibersek has been unable to put a figure on the cost of doubling Australia's humanitarian intake of refugees.
Labor has pledged to take in 27,000 refugees a year, drawing criticism from the coalition about a hit to the budget and pressure on settlement services.
When asked whether Labor had costed its policy over 10 years, Ms Plibersek told ABC TV on Thursday: I can't remember what the figure is. I would have to check that. It's very substantial."
